DO I NEED A RESERVATION TO COME IN & PAINT?
No reservations are needed for groups of 6 or less (including non painters) We recommend coming in sooner rather than later to make the most out of your time , if you come later that will cut into your painting time. If we cant get you in right away you will be put on a waitlist and receive a call as soon as a table opens up, we will hold your table for 15 minutes before we move on to the next person. Keep in mind we aren’t always able to get through every person on the wait list during weekends or busy holidays! ( Cut off time is 1-1.5 hours before closing) If you have a group of 7 or more (including non-painters) we do require a reservation which can be booked through our party tab. We charge a 18% gratuity for groups 7 or more.
WHAT KIND OF PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT IN THE STUDIO?
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. No Checks or $100 bills.
HOW MUCH WILL A VISIT COST?
Our Studio Fee is $10 per painter. It Includes paint time, underglazes (ceramic paints), tools, glazing and firing. Plus the price of ceramic(s). Our pieces range from $20 to $70. Average ceramic price is $26. People will tend to spend $30-$40 per painter on average.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO PAINT?
Nope! All levels of experience are encouraged to participate! Any age can experience the fun of painting!
DO YOU HOST PARTIES?
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PAINT?
Most of our painters finish within 1.5 hours. If you are a large group/party and have a reservation, please arrive by the start time of your 1.5 hour slot. If you are walking in, please make sure to arrive to our studio 2 hours prior to the closing time so you have a plenty time to finish your piece! If you cannot finish, we can pack it up for you to finish another day with no extra charge! ( only applies if you bought ceramic from our studio ) or you can pay $2 extra for a To-Go Kit and finish up at home!
CAN I COME BACK TO THE STUDIO TO FINISH PAINTING IF I DID NOT FINISH MY PEICE WITHIN 1.5 HOURS?
If you decide to come back to the studio to finish your piece, we recommend calling our studio to get an idea of how busy wait time is. There is no charge for coming back to finish if you are from our location, if you are from a different Color Me Mine location you can finish your piece with us but will be charged a $10 studio fee.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY PIECE BACK?
Approximately 7-10 days. Your piece needs to dry, and is then dipped in clear glaze. Then it dries again. Once the piece is dry, it is placed in our kiln at 1,828 degrees. Our cooling down period is about 24 hours. Then we carefully examine the piece, including dremeling any sharp points, to make sure it is in great condition for you. ( May take longer during holidays )
HOW LONG DO YOU KEEP MY POTTERY?
We keep them for 60 days at our studio. We will contact you when your piece is ready. Please also leave a working phone no. with us so we can contact you. If your voice mail is full or not set up, we cannot leave the message. When in doubt, please call before you make a trip to our studio.
DO YOU OFFER FIRING SERVICE?
We do offer a kiln rental, we charge $50 per every 5 ceramics. Please be aware we are not responsible for any damages that occur to your piece during the process and we do NOT refund. We require a signature on a waiver for terms and conditions for kiln rentals.
CAN YOU FIRE THE ITEM I PAINTED AT OTHER COLOR ME MINE?
Color Me Mine is a franchise. Each studio is owned and operated individually. We will fire it for a $5 firing fee per piece or a $10 studio fee to use our paints and fire with us. Please note we won’t be responsible for any problems or imperfections caused by ceramic piece defect if it was purchased at other studio.
